These black-throated barbets were photographed in the riverine woodlands north of Mt. Meru (right upper and middle images, 4-06), at Ngutukoiti (left upper image, 2-07) and Engikaret (Left middle, 6-08). The lower bird was seen at Engikaret in September 2010, courtesy of Valéry Schollaert. Note the characteristic elongated yellow spots on the back and the faint yellow on the rump. |
