The square-tailed drongo is smaller than the fork-tailed drongo and the tail has a small center notch. The left middle image was made in Msumbugwe in October 2006. The lower images were taken in Msumbugwe in July 2010. The other images are courtesy of Dr. Louis A. Hansen and were made in the Udzungwa Mountains in July 2007, demonstrating a fine, blue sheen which is difficult to see in the field and not shown in the guide books. |
