The non-breeding little tern and Saunder's tern cannot be distinguished; the image above and images 4 - 7 in the slideshow could be either. Images 1 - 3 in the slideshow show litle terns in breeding plumage; note the white forehead extends to the posterior orbit, while in Saunder's tern the white forehead extends to the anterior orbit.
