The crimson-rumped waxbill is a northeast African endemic, similar to the common waxbill but with the a red rump. The upper (Iringa, 8-16) and the 3rd row photos (Maasai Steppe, 4-22) are courtesy of Per Holmen; the right 4th row immature (Speke's Bay, 2-13) is courtesy of Paul Oliver. The left 4th row photo was taken in Tarangire (4-08); the others, in Mkomazi NP (8-10).
