The blue-breasted bee-eater is slightly larger than the little bee-eater and has a white wedge on the lower cheek. In Tanzania it is found along the western border in reedbeds and swamps. The upper photographs were taken at the Kalebe Bridge on the Ngono River southwest of Bukoba, courtesy of Steve Clark; the lower image, at Adi Keih (Eritrea, 1-09), courtesy of Jason Anderson.
