The cinnamon-chested beeeater is a forest bird, but is also seen in gardens. They nest in the ground, often in banks alongside paths or roads. They may be seen in pairs and small groups. We have seen more than a dozen adjacent nests in a wayside bank in Arusha NP and at Gibbs Farm. The first slideshow image is of a pale-breasted variant photographed by Anabel Harries about half-way between the Ngorongoro entrance gate and the crater rim on the Karatu side. The last four slideshow images are juveniles and immatures.
