The adult dwarf bittern in the foreground of slideshow image 1 caught what appeared to be a tadpole (image 2), shook it, then fed it to the bird in the background of image 1 (see image 3 where the tadpole is just visible in the bird's beak). The recipient bird had adult plumage but was about 2/3s the size of the larger bird.
