The Abyssinian crimsonwing is a northeast African endemic found in patchy distribution at higher elevations. The upper two photos were taken in the Meru Forest (3-09 & 11-22); the middle, in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (4-15); and below, on Mt. Kenya (7-18), all courtesy of Per Holmen.
