The pair of African crowned eagles in the image below (also seen in slideshow images 6 - 9) flew within a few feet of us on the road that circles Ngurdoto Crater in Arusha NP. We were startled by their closeness and ability to manuver through the mid-story. A pair may hunt cooperatively and in Arusha NP seek out black-and-white colobus monkeys.
