The brown noddie above and all of the birds in the slideshow were photographed on Maziwe sandbar (east of Pembe Abwe, south of Pangani) in April 2010. Note the well-demarkated grey cap and the brown face and neck which distinguish them from the lesser noddy. Click the adjacent link to hear the raspy call. |
