The African orange-bellied parrot is an East African endemic. The slideshow images show males, females and immatures, all feeding in Tarangire. The male has the diagnostic orange belly. The female and immature lack the yellow shoulder tip seen in the otherwise similar brown parrot. The female above was seen in Tarangire (7-06).
