The common ringed plover is a palearctic migrant which is found throughout most of sub-saharan Africa and is defined by the white collar, complete or almost complete dark neck ring and orange legs. The immature (left) was seen in Mikumi (11-03) and the non-breeding adult, at Pembe Abwe (10-06). Ckick the right image to see a slideshow that includes breeding adults.
