The common ringed plover is a palearctic migrant which is found throughout most of sub-saharan Africa and is identified by the white collar, complete or almost complete dark breast band and orange legs. The upper photo was taken at Emayani (10-14). The breeding adult was seen at Pembe Abwe (left 2nd row, 4-10). The lower 2 photos were taken in Mikumi NP (11-03); the others, also at Pembe Abwe.
