The pacific golden plover is an uncommon palearctic migrant to the Tanzanian coast. There is a flock that winters in the Tana Delta but otherwise they are uncommon along the Kenyan and Tanzanian coast, rare inland. The upper adult was seen in Hawaii (11-09). The 2nd and 3rd row photos were taken at Lake Magadi (10-13), courtesy of Daniel Rosengren. The 4th row photo (Bagamoyo, 1-16) is courtesy of Per Holmen. The three lower photos were taken in Cairns (Australia, 11-13), courtesy of Paul Oliver.
