The wood sandpiper is a palearctic migrant, usually seen singly, sometimes in small groups, usually from July to May, occasionally year long, see map for details. Note the overall brown color, spotted back, long white supercilium and yellow legs. These birds were seen in Pembe Abwe. Click the right image to see more.
