The mouse-coloured sunbird is a coastal bird of east and southeast Africa. These birds were seen in Pembe Abwe in September 2006 (above), March 2008 (middle) and April 2012. Note the blue sheen on the shoulder, neck and head, especially in the enlargement; roll your cursor over the enlargement to see another which shows the black malar stripe and faint red pectoral tuft.
