The woodland kingfisher is found in wooded and bushed grassland. The right lower bird was in Arusha NP, courtesy of Fain Zimmerman. The top photo of an adult feeding an immature was taken at Mwiba. All of the others were photographed in Tarangire. The southern race cyanoleuca is shown in the enlargements (#1): note the black wedge behind the eye.
