The black-winged stilt is common throughout Tanzania on salt and fresh water. The male has a fully black back while the female is partially brown. The adult and immature were seen at Tarangire. The nest was photographed at Bagamoyo, courtesy of Riaan Marais. The video was filmed at Lake Burunge. The other photos were taken at Nanja Dam, Ndutu, Lake Manyara, TPC-Moshi and Arusha NP.
