Hunter's sunbird is an East African endemic. The iridescent malar stripe and the iridescent shoulder patch can be difficult to see: both are seen in the upper photo (Maasai Steppe) which is courtesy of Frank Priscus Shirima. The right 2nd row female was in the Pugu Hills, courtesy of Isaac Kilusu. The left 5th row bird was seen in Same, courtesy of Sadik Kassam. The other photos were taken in Olasiti, Oldonyo Sambu, Shambarai and at KIA Lodge.
