The brown-crowned tchagra has a brown crown stripe bordered with black. Habitat is similar to the black-crowned tchagra, open woodland and bushed grassland. The two species may occur in the same area. The left upper photo was taken in Olasiti; the right upper, at Lobo, courtesy of Henrik Kisbye; and the right 4th row, at Tarangire, courtesy of Mike Peterson. The bird in flight was at Nyamalumbwa.
