The northern brownbul is found mainly along the northeastern coast, preferring forest undergrownth and thicket (see map). The two upper photos were taken at Lake Chala, courtesy of Lyn Waltenberg. The second row bird was seen at Pembe Abwe; click the photo above to see several enlargements.
