The upper immature (Mufindi) is courtesy of Florence Holmen; 2nd row adult (Mufindi, Per Holmen; left 3rd row adult (Mufindi), Paul Oliver. The left 4th row bird is also an adult; the others are immatures and are courtesy of Dr. Louis A. Hansen (Udzungwa Mountains) who notes: sexes alike, no subspecies. Some small, subtle differences in the ageing process incl. darkening of the head can help in ageing the species.
