The lammergeier or bearded vulture has straight, long wings, a wedge-shaped tail and the 'beard'. The top photo was taken at Barafu camp on Mt. Kilimanjaro, courtesy of Phil Stouffer. The other photos were taken at Oldonyo Sambu on western Mt. Meru.
