The little ringed plover is a palearctic migrant to the coast and larger inland lakes. The upper two photos showing non-breeding plumage were taken at Lake Tangala in the Selous (2-09), courtesy of Paul Oliver; the two smaller photos were taken at Shambarai Swamp (2-14); the lower bird in breeding plumage was also seen in the Selous (2-13), courtesy of Karine Van der Vurst. |
