Shelley's starling breeds in Ethiopia and Somalia and overwinters in Kenya and a small area of norhtern Tanzania; the map (click link on right) shows the breeding range. It differs from Hildebrandt's starling by having a darker, more uniformly coloured breast and orange, not red, eyes. These photos were all taken in Mkomazi NP.
