The collared sunbird has a green head, throat and upper breast which is bordered below with an iridescent purple band. It is found in moist habitat including bush, forest edge, cultivation and along the coast. The left 2nd row male and right 6th row female (Arusha), are courtesy of Paul van Maaren.
