Uncommon along the coast, the bridled tern has a thin white supercillium that extends behind the eye and a dark hind-crown that contrasts with a paler neck and back. The upper three photos were taken on Maziwe island, courtesy of Paul Oliver. The 3rd row adult in flight (Fish Eagle Point) is courtesy of Per Holmen and the bottom tow photos of an adult and juvenile were taken in the channel between Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar, courtesy of Jörgen Eriksson.
