The gull-billed tern is a palearctic migrant in East Africa from August to April. The top photo (Lake Magadi) and the 2nd row photo of gull-billed (center), common and lesse crested terns (Ushongo) are courtesy of Paul Oliver. The non-breeding birds in the 3rd row were photographed at Lake Burunge (left) and Pembe Abwe. The photo with zebras was in the Serengeti.
