The large size (18-20 cm) of the great reed warbler distinguishes it from other reed-warblers in our area. Often difficult to see, the coarse call (click adjacent link) may help locate it. These photos were taken on Maziwe Island (4-13). Click the photo above to see 6 enlargements.
