The Speke's weaver is a northeast African endemic. It usually breeds in colonies in acacia trees. The top male and the 2nd row juvenile (Maji ya Chai) are courtesy of Frank Priscus Shirima; the 3rd row female (Arusha) is courtesy of Amos Pampy Hardecker. Note the heavy black bill and the pale yellow-pink eyes. The group was seen at Dareda. All of the other photos were taken in Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti.
