The northern wheatear is a palearctic migrant. They have been tracked from Alaska and the Baffin Islands to East Africa. The top bird was seen near Mkomazi (1-21), courtesy of Per Holmen. The next photos were taken at Lake Eyasi (2-08), courtesy of Karine Van der Vurst. The immature was at Ngorongoro (1-09) and the right 3rd row bird was at Nyamalumbwa (10-10). The bottom birds were seen at Engikaret (left, 2-10 & right 2-08). Click the lower female to see 12 enlargements.
