This website displays several thousand images of Tanzanian birds. Most were taken in Tanzania; some were taken in other countries where species' ranges cross borders. The site may be searched from a list of common names, by taxonomic order or by using the search box.
On many of the species pages there is a link to the Tanzania Bird Atlas distribution map, courtesy of Neil and Liz Baker.
When available, there are also links to bird calls courtesy of Dr. Louis A. Hansen or from the Macaulay or Xeno-Canto libraries. Many Macaulay links do not connect: we hope to have this corrected soon.
