The European beeeaters are large (28cm) palearctic migrants from Europe and Asia. These images were made at Magara in February 2008 (left lower) and Lake Manyara in March 2004 (right upper) and November 2006 (left upper). The right lower image of a flying bee-eater on migration was made in Denmark by Dr. Louis A. Hansen in September 2009. |
