The European beeeaters are large (28cm) palearctic migrants from Europe and Asia. These images were made at Lake Manyara (right upper, 3-04; left upper, 11-06: right bottom, 3-10), Magara (enlargement, 2-08) and Tarangire (3rd row images, 3-10). The right 2nd row image of a flying bee-eater on migration was made in Denmark by Dr. Louis A. Hansen in September 2009. The immature (left bottom, 12-10) was at Tarangire.
