The northern brownbul is found mainly along the northeastern coast, preferring forest undergrownth and thicket (see map). The two upper photos were taken at Lake Chala (9-11), courtesy of Lyn Waltenberg. The second row bird was seen at Pembe Abwe (1-07); click the photo above to see several enlargements.
