The rufous chatterer is a northeast African endemic. The uniform red-cinnamon underparts are diagnostic. The adult (left upper) was seen at Grumeti Camp in the Serengeti (September 2008) and is courtesy of Steven Brynes. The immature (upper right) was seen in Yaida Valley in January 2009.
