The rufous chatterer is a northeast African endemic. The uniform red-cinnamon underparts are diagnostic. The immature (upper right) was seen in Yaida Valley in January 2009. The middle row images were taken in the Serengeti in February 2008, courtesy of Karine Van der Vurst.
