The left image of a black kite was made in Ngorongoro Crater in September 2008; the right image was also taken in Ngorongoro Crater in March 2009, courtesy of Mladen Mates. The lower image, location unrecorded, was made by Chuck Derby. The black kite is distinguished from the yellow-billed kite by the black tip on the beak, best seen in the image above and in the two rollover enlargements. |
