The brown-throated martin, also called the brown-throated sand martin or the plain martin, lacks the breast band of other East African martins. The colour of the throat and breast is brown and the colour of the belly varies from white to brown. The upper image was taken at Lukuba in September 2010, courtesy of Valéry Schollaert.
