The eastern bronze-naped pigeon is mainly seen in highland forests, occasionally in coastal forests, see map. The right upper image was made in the Dlinza Forest in KwaZulu-Natal in January 2009, courtesy of Mike Graham. The other images were taken in the Nou Forest in January 2011. The white half-collar of the male on the lower nape is visible in the upper images; the female lacks the half-collar.
