The eastern double-collared sunbird is a highland bird of field, forest and gardens and is an east African endemic. The upper males were seen on Endulen Road (4-12), courtesy of Paul Oliver. The right 2nd row female was in the Ngarwa Forest (1-09). The 3rd row photos were taken at Ngorongoro Crater, the left (11-16) is courtesy of Paul Oliver; the right (7-07), Gian Schachenmann. The other males were seen in the Nou Forest. Note the blue sheen on the tail, one of the features that distinguish it from the northern double-collared sunbird which has a purple sheen.
