The red-chested sunbird is endemic to northeast Africa and in Tanzania it is common in the northwest. The male images (upper) were taken at Lukuba in September 2010, courtesy of Valéry Schollaert. The female images were made near Kampala in January 2010, courtesy of Karine Van der Vurst.
