The violet or Grant's wood-hoopoe is similar to the green wood-hoopoe except that green color is restricted to the neck. It may be seen in arid bush and woodland in northeastern Tanzania. This photo was taken in Samburu-Kenya (4-23), courtesy of Per Holmen. |
