The lesser moorhen is a shy, infrequently seen bird in wetlands and seasonal pools. The top adult was in Tarangire, courtesy of Anabel Harries. The 2nd and 3rd row immature photos were taken at Mbuyuni Farm near Morogoro, courtesy of Kim Axmann. The 4th row photo was taken on the Maasai steppe, courtesy of Paul Oliver. The other photos were taken in Tarangire NP, the Maasai steppe, and Katavi NP.
