Small to large flocks are common and widespread, often in reeds or tall grass near water. The 2nd row bird (Machame, 3-21) Is courtesy of Bob Kasworm. The left 3rd row adult (Lake Eyasi, 8-11) is courtesy of Colin Beale. The right lower immature was seen at Simba Farm, West Kilimanjaro (6-14). The others were seen in the Serengti, Udzungwa Mountains and Olasiti; click the photo above to see 11 enlargements including more immatures.
