The crowned lapwing is common in drier grassland including treed and bushed areas. The top photo was taken at Lake Chala (4-11), courtesy of Lyn Waltenberg. The flight photos were taken at Ndutu (5-15), courtesy of Siegfried Woldhek. The photos with chicks were also taken at Ndutu (5-10). The other photos were taken at Nanja Dam and Tarangire.
