Home Alphabetical Taxonomic Comments

The long-toed lapwing is found on freshwater marshes or wet floodplains, as, for example, the hippo pool in Ngorongoro crater (left, 4-04) and on Rubondo Island where most of these images were made. The right bird was photographed in Akagera NP (Rwanda, 4-08), courtesy of Jason Anderson. Click the left image to see more.
